What is a SHSM?
The Specialist High Skills (SHSM) Major is a ministry-approved specialized program that allows grade 11 & 12 students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Successful completiono of a SHSM is indicated on the student's Ontario Secondary School Diploma by a red seal.
How does it benefit students?
A SHSM allows a student to experience a range of customized learning opportunities in an area that interests them, and helps engage them in their school programs.
